Adult dependant relative
An overseas adult relative of a person settled in the UK may apply for immigration permission if they require long-term care from their UK relative and that care is unavailable or unaffordable in their home country. The applicant must be the parent, grandparent, son, daughter, brother or sister of the UK resident from whom they will receive care.
Key features
- Applicants must apply from outside the UK.
- Individuals in this category will receive leave in line with the caregiver relative’s status or indefinite leave to enter, depending on their relative’s status in the UK.
